From Teacher to Entrepreneur: My Journey to Ink & Paper Digitals

Hello there, fellow entrepreneurs in the virtual world! Today, I want to take you on a journey through my experience of opening a virtual computer graphics and printables store, all while searching for a teaching position. Welcome to the world of Ink & Paper Digitals!

As a Special Education teacher with 13 years of experience, my passion for creativity and education has always been at the forefront of my life. Inspired by my love for teaching and my desire to explore new horizons, the idea of opening a digital store started to take shape near the end of this last school year. When I finally decided to take a leap of faith and resign from my teaching position for the next school year, I decided to take yet another faith step and embark on this adventure.

Ink & Paper Digitals was born out of my love for all things paper and ink, combined with my fascination for computer graphics. The name perfectly captures the essence of what I wanted to offer – a virtual store filled with digital resources that can be printed or cut on cardstock, paper, or vinyl and used in various educational and creative endeavors. I am super excited to use this blog to share my creations with you as well!

Being an adoptive mom to two always-on-the-go kids, a super-supportive wife of 22 years, and a teacher, I am working to find ways to balance my new entrepreneurial venture with my existing responsibilities. I know it won't always be easy, but with the support of my family and a strong determination to demonstrate my talent to the world, I know I'll manage to find a rhythm that'll allow me to pursue my dreams while still being present for my loved ones.

Living in a small town in Minnesota, I quickly realized the potential of digital resources and printables, especially in the education sector, as I have used them for personal crafts for many years. My dream is that Ink & Paper Digitals will become a creative space for teachers, parents, and crafters looking for cute graphics and printable items to use in their crafts and their classrooms at an affordable price. From colorful planners to personalized graphics, my store offers a wide range of resources to cater to all types of crafty needs.

No journey is complete without the companionship of our furry friends. In our case, we have two dogs and a cat who have been our constant source of joy and frustration. You may even see them in some of my graphics, adding an extra touch of cuteness to my products!

Opening Ink & Paper Digitals is looking to be a thrilling and fulfilling adventure. It's allowing me to channel my creativity, share my passion for education, and connect with a vibrant community of teachers and learners. While I continue to search for a teaching position for the next school year, this journey has taught me the power of embracing new opportunities and following my passions, no matter where they may lead.
