When Life Feels Too Heavy: My Faith Reset

Lately, I’ve been quiet here. Not because I don’t want to show up, but because life has been so loud in other ways that I haven’t had the energy to type out words that feel worth sharing. Between work, parenting teens, and some rocky ground in my marriage, I’ve been carrying a weight that feels heavier than usual.

I won’t go into details - that’s not what this space is for - but I want to be honest: I’m tired. I’m worn thin. And I don’t always feel like I have a true helper walking alongside me in this season. That’s a hard thing to admit out loud, even in broad strokes.

Leaning Into a Faith Reset

What’s been holding me together is my faith. I’ve been sitting with it, wrestling with it, clinging to it like a lifeline when everything else feels shaky. Some days it looks like prayer in the middle of the dishes, asking God to just help me make it through the next ten minutes. Other days it looks like tears and silence, waiting for a peace I can’t make on my own.

This is where my usual cleaning/organizing rhythm comes into play. I talk a lot about resets - starting small, lowering the bar, and finding ways to slide under it with grace. Right now, I’m learning that this isn’t just about laundry piles or messy counters - it’s about resetting my heart, over and over, when life feels overwhelming. A faith reset is what helps me realign, even when everything else feels out of place.

Small Resets Matter - Including Faith

If you’ve been missing me here, that’s why. I’m still here, still trying, still showing up in the ways I can. And I hope that’s encouragement for someone else who feels like they’re barely hanging on: you don’t have to do all the things. Just one small thing. Just one prayer. Just one step toward a faith reset.

💛 I’d love to hear from you. Have you ever gone through a season where faith was the only thing keeping you grounded? How do you reset when everything feels too heavy? Share your story in the comments or email me. We need each other’s reminders that we’re not walking this road alone.
